The Pender Harbour Health Centre is excited to announce a new collaboration with the Vancouver Coastal Health Public Health team to improve access to health services for youth in Pender Harbour.
In July nurses from the Pender Harbour Health Centre and Vancouver Coastal Health public health nursing started to offer a dedicated Youth Clinic at the PHHC. This clinic is open to any youth aged between 13 – 24 and operates on select dates. This new clinic provides youth in our community with access to:
- Birth Control
- STI testing and treatment
- Pregnancy testing and next step counselling
- Emergency Contraception
- Immunizations
- Sexual Assault Support
- Naloxone training
As we move through the summer the next Youth Clinic will be offered in August on August 19th and August 27th from 1.30pm – 3.00pm. If you are a youth or know of a youth who would benefit from connecting with our Youth Clinic nurses, then please call 604-314-8253 to set up an appointment.
